  We saw the Griswold while walking around d Newport. After enjoying the beach we came here with a welcoming atmosphere. Was allowed to choose any seat we wanted. Had the the Grilled Reuben and it was amazing. Kirk was a pleasure to have waiting on us knew how to answer my many questions. He was a delight and the open area tables were a perfect touch.

  My daughter had been throwing up all morning and we were staying next door. I went in for some Oyster Crackers - you know, those free crackers that most restaurants give you with your soup? I asked if they had them, the woman behind the counter (dark hair) said yes... and then looked at me as if to say "and what is it you want?" I asked for some, saying I would be happy to pay for them. She got me one bag and I left. The experience felt strange. I went in a second time for them, and she said "what do you need these for?.. and not in a nice way. I told her I had a sick daughter and its all she could eat. She actually showed some sympathy and gave me 3 bags. I thanked her and left a $2 tip on the bar. Then my wife goes in a little later for some, and she has the nerve to say, "you know there is a Stop and Shop down the street." I SAID AT FIRST FEE FREE TO CHARGE. A CASE OF THESE COST $20. GIVE ME A BREAK. I hope management finds someone who cares because this lady clearly didn't.

  I very much liked this place. My husband and I had good food and pleasant service n a nice quiet section of Newport. The nachos were delicious. My salad was fresh and my husband enjoyed his burger and 'Black and Tan' very much. And my martini did not disappoint. Very good.
